This semester has been insaaaaaanely busy for the allysanator. Busy to the point that I have basically fallen behind in all of my hobbies.
- Staying up to date with the medical world
- One of the things I used to pride myself on was that every week I would ready 5 articles on new discoveries or diseases and write them in a journal. I love feeling the feeling of learning when I want and what I want. One of the books I have had for months is this book called "The Stem Cell Hope". It goes into stem cell research and the possibilities it can bring. Since I know this is a controversial topic, I decided to purchase the book to form my own opinion on the book. But since I have been busy I have read only 30 pages...I also haven't written anything in my science journal since early September. So starting immediately after this post I'm grabbing my highlighter and cracking open that book.
- Photography
- When I had a lot of time I would text some of friends to get all dolled up just so I could take pictures of them. It's something about bringing out people's favorite features that just makes photographing people so much fun. I also find myself smiling behind the camera, even though I'm not in the picture. Of course it could just be my brain mirroring what they are doing, but I actually feel genuinely happy doing it. I just recently bought a mini polaroid, I have a large one too, but the small film is cheaper haha so I'm planning on using it on other things besides just people.
- Running
- Now that finals are over I have been able to get back into running! I have been running 3 miles a day and I feel so much more refreshed. Im not worried about being a double 0, I am very content with myself, but it does let me get away with eating some refried beans occasionally haha.
- Singing and the piano
- This speaks for itself
- Reading
- I used to get through 3 books a week, back when I had a lot of free time. So now on top of my medical research books I'm going to get back into my cliche thrillers that I love.
