Last High School Spring Break!
For the last 3 year of high school I had to survive the week of spring break without a car. I was a little bit late to the driving party so even junior year I was still being chauffeured around by my friends and the rust (boyfriend). But this year I knew it was going to be different, I have a car now so this was going to be a real taste of what freedom feels like.
On Sunday, break really kicked off to a nice start, Allen was home. Since he is a year a head of me I don't get to see him as often as I like, so I was very excited. I called up my friend, Melissa, and told Allen that I would pick him up at 11 am and to dress nicely. Allen got me obsessed with the BBC show, Sherlock, so i decided that I would ask him to prom via Sherlock Holmes style! Melissa and I drove around Coppell putting clues for him to follow. I led him to the movie store, the library, my old house and even our old biology teachers house. At 11 I dropped off Melissa at Allen's house and he was surprised when he opened the door and it was her instead of me. Melissa guided him around Coppell as he searched for all the clues. The final one led him back to my house where I awaited with a sign. He obviously said yes.
The next few days were a little more chill, packed with activities, but nothing too extravagant. The next day Allen and I met up with my Dad for lunch in Dallas, then rode bikes around this cute park. We hit up a really old malt shop, Highland Park Fountain, and then went home. That night Melissa and my other friend Swathi all gathered at my house to watch the Bachelor, I don't really watch it, but Swathi is really into it. He picked Lauren B, bummer.

The week follow with me taking a girl's senior pictures, they turned out really nicely. I hung out with Allen a lot and finally saw Deadpool!! The next day I was finally able to see my friend Catherine, we went to the mall and she bought this really pretty dress for our graduation party, I am seriously so excited for it! Saturday night was my uncle's 60th birthday party, the family from San Antonio even came down for it. Allen was there for a little but around 7 pm he had to go :(. My mom gave him a cute little easter basket and then he was on his way.
But to really top off the night the Spurs played the Warriors and continued their undefeated home streak. Now it is Sunday, and tomorrow is school, I would say that I am excited to go back and see people...but that would be a lie. Haha, Oops!
One of the few laid back activities during the break. I lost.... |
