San Francisco Day 1!
Once we landed my mom and I darted off the plan and headed towards the first floor to catch a cab. We told the taxi driver to take us to Chinatown, since my dad was in a meeting we had a few hours to walk around wherever we wanted.
Chinatown is always interesting to me, I have been before in San Francisco and once to the one in New York. In Chinatown the culture is so real, I mean that as in it seems so fake. They act the way I imagine them acting in a movie, but in reality it is just how the culture is. My mom and I stopped in a few little shops, because she was trying to find a bobble head Obama...but then we ended up buying a cool San Francisco hat. After a little I remembered that there was a really cool bakery close by and that it would be cool to check it out. Well I sort of forgot how horrible I am with directions...and reading maps. So I ended up bringing my mom and I in a complete circle, that may not seem bad but the circle was 2.7 miles long... Sorry mom! But then my mom took control and it ended up being right around the corner from Chinatown. The bakery is called Mr.Holmes bakery. They are known for this Carmel bread, but they sold out before we got there. But at least I got a cute picture and we sat down for a little. I forgot to mention that my mom and I were walking around with our backpacks with all of our stuff in it.

My dad called and my mom told him to meet us at St. Dominic's church. My mom and I walked there, which was another mile, but made it. I ended up going to confession because I had a little time and it was gorgeous so I didn't mind. My dad picked us up and we move on to the CLIFF HOUSE
My love for the Cliff House is intense. I have a passionate feeling for any kind of bread, so everywhere I go I always have bread. But this place, let me tell you, has the most amazing bread ever. I had tried it for the first time a few years back, and every now and then I have cravings for it that cannot be fulfilled. But FINALLY my craving for the bread was going to be satisfied. Once we got to the Cliff house, around 3:40, they told us that they would not be seating people for dinner until 4, unless we wanted appetizers, so we asked if they had the bread. Their answer: "we stop making popovers at 12 pm". I felt my heart drop...is this what a real heartbreak feels like?, I wondered to myself. We sat down while they checked for the bread, and it was just our luck that they had 6 of them left, THAT THEY WERE ABOUT TO THROW AWAY! It ended up perfect, since there were 3 of us we each got two. But in the end my mom had 1, my dad had 1, and I had 3...haha oops.

Sutro Baths was created in 1894 by this self made made millionaire, and it was a pool that could hold 10,000 people! But when the Great Depression occurred it went out of business and became ruins, but it is still really cool. I took the most complex path to look at the baths, there was an actual pathway you could walk through to get you to the, but I had to make things difficult on us. We had a close up views of the beach and we were walking along the baths. At one point the path was really skinny. On one side there was sand I could jump in, and on the other side was the pool. I was carrying my camera so one wrong move and we would loose a very expensive item, and I don't have the best balance. But my mom did it, so I had to also. Don't worry, everything is good.
By the time we were done walking around the baths and up the hills it was 6, so we headed back to the hotel in San Jose, about 30 minutes from the city. But before we left, we hit the gift shop up, and I got another sweatshirt to add to my collection hah.
All in all it was a great day, that made this week not bad anymore.
