YULIN DOG FESTIVAL?!?

A few months ago I became Vegan, obviously cutting out all animal byproducts. Since then my views on Animal rights and agriculture has completely changed. I always cared about animals but before becoming vegan I never really noticed how lucky my puppies were. Since this is something I am passionate about I became outraged when I heard/read about the Yulin dog festival.

The Yulin dog festival is about a week. To prepare for this event 100's of dogs are killed and stolen, some even picked up off the street already dead. During the festival dogs are bought and sold for

outrageous prices. Once bought they are beat, alive, until the people feel like the meat has soaked in enough blood. Finally they slash the dogs throats and people begin their "meal".

Petitions circulated, millions signed (me included), but still the festival goes on. The thought of this festival makes me sick to my stomach but that does nothing. I know that no one reads this, but if anyone ever finds it I hope you will join this fight.

But in order to work on another country, we have to begin with our own. I intended to be a part of whatever I can be in order to help animals with their rights. I am joining an organization called PAWS, Protectors of Animal Welfare Society. It is similar to the Humane society, but smaller and aimed at all animals.
