The Night of Nights

Prom night!
The "night of nights"
A "night to remember"
"Our final moment as seniors"
Those are just a few things that most girls think when they think of prom.  Unless you are a little pessimistic and just look at it as an awkward night around a bunch of people you don't like.  To each their own i suppose.  But for me personally prom was better than I thought it would be.
For me prom started around 10 am, around the time my friend Melissa and I started getting ready.  This sounds really early, I know, but we started at that time because we didn't feel like being rush AND we were helping two of our other friends with their makeup.
Melissa and I danced around in the bathroom and started.  I curled both of our hair, and then she put my hair into a very impressive updo.  (Seriously recommend having a friend of yours just do your hair, it saves money and makes it more fun!)  A few hours past and we sat down and enjoyed a nice, homey meal from Chipotle.  1 pm came around and both of us already had our make up done.

Catherine and Paige came over and we helped them look amazing!
4:30, our set time to leave to take pictures, finally arrived and ALLEN CAME OVER.  Looking sharp as always.  I was able to see him that morning but only for a little bit, so I was still overjoyed to see him after being a part for nearly a month.  The three of us and my dad took off to go take pictures at this really pretty rose garden.
If I am being completely honest I felt very awkward while taking pictures.  I was the one in charge of planning pretty much everything for prom so I never really stopped and looked at who was in my group.  Everyone was really nice but I was only really close to 3 of the 18 people.  So after I was done taking pictures with Allen and the other 2 people I didn't really know what to do with myself.  Also it was that time of the month, lucky, so I had the honor of being emotional.
Things picked up and I got out of my little rutt and the pictures became fun and came out well.
At 6:30 everyone went back to my house and we got on the snazzy white hummer limo.  It drove us to the restaurant Brunos, it was pretty good, and we all had a lot to talk about.

After about 2 hours of eating a just enjoying people for once we left for the dance! Adreesh was in charge of the music and I impressed everyone in the limo by rapping 'Look at me now'.  I got Allen to sway to the songs, so you could say that it was a successful ride over.
We got to the dance around 9:40, it was pretty dead since everyone was still getting there.  So for a little Allen and I just said hello to some people and crowded around the fruit table.  Finally people started to show up and Allen and I danced like crazy!  He didn't really know what to do with himself so I tried to help him dance, but to be honest I didn't really know what to do and was just pulling moves from show choir dances.

Compared to last year their were a lot of slow songs so Allen allowed us to be cheesy and dance to all of the ones we were there for.  Paige and Catherine arrived and I got to dance like a lunatic with them while Allen talked to some friends he got to see.  We danced to the cha cha slide, hit up this cool photo booth, and screamed at the top of our lungs.  When 11:30 rolled around the dance was hyped but we decided to head back to my house.
We seem not okay, but we are very much so okay :')

After we got to my house we turned on the fire pit and everyone, except me, had S'mores.  I was so proud of Melissa for not burning herself, they grow up so fast.  I put on the most recent Star Wars for everyone to watch outside, but Allen and I wanted to be alone so we put on the Lion King and started to watch it.  Everyone started to trickle in and we all fell asleep haha.  It may seem lame to some people but after two years I finally got to fall asleep with Allen.  It was everything that I wanted to be, even if he snored the entire night and tried to push me off the couch, what a guy ;).
Prom was amazing and I wish that it was still here, but I am just glad that I got to spend prom with some amazing people.
